Bowie Blast -- Week of April 14

We are proud of our Bulldogs and encourage teachers and coaches to submit news to Mr. Robinson's office!

​Softball: Big win last week! Down 5-1 till the 7th inning freshman Lauren Youngblood comes up to bat and hits a single homerun. Then we got bases loaded and Katerina McLennan hit a Grand Slam. Game ended 8-5!!!

Baseball: The team beat Anderson 3 to 0. Christian Villanueva, Matthew Escamilla and Aiden Ellisor all had 2 hits. Matthew Escamilla also had 2 rbi's. Ryan Lim pitched 5 innings, gave up 1 hit to get the win. Jonathan Eastin pitched 2 innings giving up 1 hit to get the save.

Theater: The company of the UIL One-Act Play Angels in America ended their run this weekend at the Area contest in San Antonio.

Individual awards went to: Outstanding Technical Crew-Alyssa Shumaker, Nichole Abrego, Samuel Fafel, Joe Morales, Kellan Watts

JROTC: They brought home 5 trophies from the Kerrville Tivy Model Rocketry and Quadcopter Competition. The rocketry team took 1st place trophies in both 35 & 70 yard spot landing. The quadcopter team placed in all three categories of the competition: 2nd Place in Search and Rescue, 2nd Place in Streamer Drop, and 3rd Place in the Obstacle Course.
