National Football Foundation: Kendrick Neptune was honored by the Austin Chapter of the National Football Foundation as one of the top 5 scholar athletes in the greater Austin area. He received the Rooster Andrews Outstanding Achievement Award which included a $1,200 scholarship. In addition, his name will be listed at the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame in Atlanta.

Special Olympics: Noah Casarez won the gold medal in 3-3 basketball in the state Special Olympic games. Congratulations Noah!

Bowie Colorguard and Winterguard: The James Bowie High School color guard, a program of Bowie Band, participated in the first WGI China regional in Pinggu, Beijing, China on May 19, 2019. A full recap of the event is here. The Bowie color guard team, which competes regionally and nationally, participated at the invitation of WGI. Before the competition, Bowie students gave demonstrations and clinics for students in color guard programs at four schools in the greater Beijing area.
