Bowie Blast - Week of Feb. 23

Girls Soccer: Our Bowie Girls Soccer teams had an amazing week. On February 14th, all three teams walked away with wins over Del Valle. The JVB won 6-0, JVA won 5-1, and the Varsity won 5-0 with Tristyn Cabello scoring a hat-trick, and Naya Tillisch and Brooke Druebert scoring the other two goals. On Tuesday, February 18th, the teams beat Hays. JV won 7-0 and Varsity won 4-0 with Addie Lemoine leading the attack with three assists. Naya Tillisch scored a goal and an assist, Megan Devaney scored a goal, and Tristyn Cabello scored two goals. Way to go, Lady Dawgs!!!

Girls Lacrosse: Our Lady Dawgs Lacrosse posted two wins last Wednesday night. Varsity edged out Cedar Park 11-10 and JV beat McNeil 15-4. Great job, ladies!!

Wrestling: Last weekend, the Bowie Wrestling team competed in the Region 4-6a wrestling tournament in San Antonio and had four of our wrestlers move onto the state tournament in Houston.

Joshua Moreno - regional champion in the 132 pound weight class

Tye Frnka - regional runner up in the 145 pound weight class

Jireh Vivar - 3rd place regional finish in the 95 pound weight class

Olivia Moreno - 3rd place regional finish in the 119 pound weight class

Bowie Swim & Dive Team: Great job at State last weekend, Bowie Bulldogs! Alekzandr Popper placed 6th for Diving! The 200 Medley Relay Team of Arianna Lax, Brooke Simpson, Caroline Myers and Norah Cullicott placed 4th with a time of 1:45:39 (Alternates: Delaney Anthony and Kate Livingston)- this is the highest place for a Bowie Relay in over 10 years!!! Caroline Myers placed 19th in the 100 fly with a 3rd best time of 57.44!

Brooke Simpson placed 20th in the 100 breast with a 4th best time of 1:05.92! Way to go Bulldogs and Coaches Bobo and DuBois! Way to cap off an exciting season for the team!
