Bowie Yearbook: A huge congrats to our Bowie Yearbook staff! From the JEA/NSPA's national journalism convention (online-only edition), they were awarded:
Third best COVID-19 yearbook spread in the country (by Mariah Barsotti & Grace Conlan – Bowie’s first award for the 2020 book!)
Fourth place Best in Show for yearbooks 336+ pages
Top 50 high school yearbook in the country for 2019 as a Pacemaker finalist

Speech & Debate: Congratulations to our amazing teacher, Marco Bazan! He was recognized by the National Speech and Debate Association last week for his exemplary volunteerism to promote speech and debate. He serves on the Heart of Texas District Committee, which manages Bowie’s local community of speech and debate activities. In a letter to Mr. Robinson, “Without Marco, our community would not be what it is today. Moreover, the future of our activity would not be as bright.” Thank you, Mr. Bazan for your commitment to our school and community!
