Bowie Blast - Week of August 27

Bowie swimmers and divers kicked off their season and competed in our annual, “King and Queen of Springs”! The athletes met at Barton Springs at 6:30 am on September 1st to compete in a run and swim race. They ran 2 miles, followed by swimming down and back in the brisk Barton Springs water, (approximately 400 meters). This year, seniors Ian Cullicott and Madeleine Dunn won and were crowned our “King'' and “Queen”. If you see any of the swimmers, please congratulate their efforts. Go Dawgs!
