Varsity Tennis

Bowie played Westlake with a final score of Bowie-4, Westlake-12.

Cross Country

The Runnin' Dawgs competed at Liberty Hill Saturday Morning. Nick Manire won the boys division finishing 1st out of 64 runners with a 5k time of 16:15. Finishing 3rd overall was Zack Munger only 6 seconds behind Nick! Our Varsity Boys took home 2nd place in the team category!

Our Girls Varsity Team placed third and was led by Sophomore Parker Seely with a 9th Place overall finish.

Many Bulldogs for the Girls and Boys recorded personal best 5k times!

Speech and Debate

Over Labor Day weekend, debaters competed at the first virtual double tournament of the season in Pflugerville. Bella Barkkume placed 3rd in Humorous Interpretation, Javier Lozano placed 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation and Noah McQuiston placed in the top sixteen of the Lincoln Douglas debate.

Two debaters recently competed in a virtual double tournament in the Houston Area. Javier Lozano placed 2nd and 5th in Dramatic Interpretation, and Nadia Petru placed 2nd and 3rd in Humorous Interpretation.

Debaters also competed in Grapevine against some of the top programs in the country.

The Public Forum Debate team of Cristian Abarca and Nikhil Weerakoon placed 17th in a very competitive tournament.

Virtual tournaments for the last year and a half have been very challenging for our team, so if you see any of the competitors, give them a big shout-out for sticking it out and continuing to represent Bowie so well.
