Bowie Blast - Week of Sep 17

We are proud of our Bulldogs and encourage teachers and coaches to submit news to Mr. Robinson's office!

Bowie Percussion contest:

Over the weekend the Bowie Percussion section competed at the Thunder in the Hills Drumline contest at Dripping Springs HS. The ensemble finished 4th in their class against other drumlines from Austin, Leander, Lake Travis, and San Antonio!

Volleyball:

The girls volleyball team lost to Hays last Friday but had a big win Wednesday night against Akins beating them in 3 sets.

Speech and Debate results from this weekend's tournament:

Last weekend, members of the Speech and Debate team competed in their first in-person tournament in 18 months.

Results from the Lake Travis TFA State Qualifier included:

2nd place in Humorous Interpretation- Bella Barkkume

3rd place in Humorous Interpretation- Megan Sewell

3rd place in Lincoln Douglas Debate- Noah McQuiston

4th place in Humorous Interpretation- Nadia Petru

5th place in Program Oral Interpretation- Erin Everette

5th place in Public Forum Debate - Fionella Caputo and Cristian Abarca

6th place in Dramatic Interpretation- Javier Lozano

6th place in Congressional Debate - Morgan Gonzales

6th place in Duo Interpretation- Zoe Bouck and Javier Lozano
